Home FAQ's What To Expect
Although we're a smaller church, there is a great spirit of acceptance among our folks. Besides our greeters at the door, who will welcome you to our church and direct you to the appropriate Sunday School class or morning worship, don't be surprised by the number of people who will come up and welcome you to our services.
Our morning worship service uses a variety of music as we worship God. Some weeks we might have more traditional hymns; another week there might be more choruses sung. We also have readings from the Bible (we do not use one particular version), and responsive readings, along with the sermon. During the months of September to May, the choir also sings.
Dress is casual. We understand that if you’re on vacation you probably don’t have “traditional” Sunday outfits with you. What you would wear in a sit-down restaurant is fine. (Remember that this is a worship service to God!)
We have a nursery in the back of the sanctuary for children newborn to age 3.
One the days we celebrate communion, you are free to participate in the sacrament, the only requirement being that you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You do not have to be a member of the church to receive communion.
That’s about it. People constantly tell us that they really felt comfortable - "at home" are the words we hear most frequently. If you don't yet have a church home, we hope you’ll stop by this Sunday. And if you do, please come down and say hi, and tell us that you found out about our church on the Internet.
Should you have any other questions regarding your visit, please feel free to call the church office and ask to speak to our Pastor who should be able to answer any questions that you might have.
We look forward to meeting you! |
