Mission Education and Projects for Youth and Children PDF Print E-mail
Our kids and teens are given opportunities to express Christ's love to other cultures by annually participating in the District Missions Day. Visiting missionaries often make special presentations to the children. They are also challenged to raise money, along with other Nazarene children around the world, for an annual project.

Alabaster Offering PDF Print E-mail
The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. It gives a sense of permanence, the attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." Eighty percent of the money is used in world mission areas, and twenty percent goes to multicultural congregations in the United States and Canada. Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work & Witness projects. The entire offering goes toward the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers.

Each February and September, Nazarenes are encouraged to pour out their Alabaster love gifts like the woman mentioned in Matthew 26:6-13 who poured out her costly alabaster oil to cleanse Jesus’ feet to demonstrate her love for Him. All Alabaster money goes to pay for buildings and properties in mission areas. A special box makes it easy to collect your love-gift for this twice-a-year offering.

All Alabaster money is used for its original purpose; none is kept back for administrative costs.

There are Alabaster boxes available on the table in the church sanctuary. These boxes may be used to collect your extra change throughout the year and help build buildings that will last for many years. These buildings in turn can be used for evangelistic efforts which can have eternal results.

Mission Education PDF Print E-mail
The local church seeks ways to inform people concerning the investment they make in world evangelism. Through the Holiness Today magazine, annual book selections written by missionaries, missionary speakers, videos, worship folder inserts and other activities, we promise to pass on to you information about how your mission dollars are working.

Work & Witness PDF Print E-mail

ImageOn a regular basis, Nazarene Churches send volunteer teams to a mission field to work on a building project or provide medical expertise. This is also our denominational organization which provides crisis relief in disasters like famine, earthquake, fire, or flood.

Nazarene churches around the globe have been challenge by Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to fill at least one banana box with 6 Crisis Care Kits (CCK). These CCKs provide basic personal supplies for people who are in a time of crisis.

For a list of what should be included in your care kit, please click here.

For detailed instructions on making a kit, please clicke here.

Your completed Crisis Care Kit (along with $2.00 per kit to help with the cost of storage and shipping costs during the distribution process) may be brought to the church where they will be boxed and shipped.
